| These rules are subject to change. If you notice a new post in this thread it would benefit you to check what was updated. All new amendments to the rules will be highlighted in red for one month so that everyone has ample time to review them. Immortal - Aion Chapter Rules rev. 1.0 I. Mission Statement: Immortal - Aion is a PvP/Raid guild based on the principles of friendship, loyalty, trust, and commitment. Our focus is on being the best guild on our server in both PvP and raiding, and a major competitor on the world stage. We are a guild that is open for change, and will create the best possible environment we see fit. We have basic rules and guidelines that gear our decisions in all aspects of every game. However, we take those basic ideas and expand them so we, Immortal, can stand out as the best guild in online gaming history! II. General Chapter Rules: a. Immortal is a multi-chapter guild which covers several games including Aion, World of Warcraft, Age of Conan, Warhammer and others. The Immortal Council and officers of all Immortal Chapters have agreed upon a core set of rules to govern the guild of Immortal. These Core Rules must be followed by all members of Immortal regardless of rank or time in guild. The Core Rules supersede individual chapter rules. The Aion Chapter Rules is an addendum specifically designed to allow Immortal - Aion to successfully operate in the PvPvE environment. b. Immortal members are not allowed to be part of another guild. Immortal members are not allowed to have existing applications for other guilds. Failure to comply will result in immediate removal from the guild. c. Immortal guild members will respect all opposing guild members. When you antagonize or complain about another player or guild's actions in-game you aren't portraying a positive image of Immortal and we ask you to keep this in mind in your endeavors in Aion. d. All Immortal members are eligible for the opportunity to be promoted. Consideration for promotion depends on several factors including: *Dedication *Leadership qualities *Ability to follow rules *Maturity *Teamwork This guild takes its leadership positions seriously. Members will be promoted to a leadership position for the betterment of the guild as needed. e. Nobody in this guild will receive special treatment based on their race, religion, sex, rank or relationships with other guild members. Everyone is equal in this guild. We are all bound by the same rules, regardless of any differences. III. Leadership: a. Guild Master (Brophy): Holds executive power over all guild events, members, officers, rule making, and recruitment. What he says, goes. All major changes to scheduling events or policies must be passed by either the Guild Master or his/her assistant. b. Assistant Guild Master (Dharkk, Regulas): Reports to the Guild Master with any requests and current events that need attention and can't be handled alone. Primary policy maker. Also creates schedules and directs officers with any special projects that are in the works. Holds the same executive power as the Guild Master, but can be trumped at any time by the Guild Master. c. Officers (Nell, Amurra, Draco): They are here to uphold the ideals and goals of Immortal and will strive to see them through. All officers are to be treated with respect at all times. d. Impersonating officers will not be tolerated. Discussing anything with another party while they are under the assumption that you are on official of the guild is grounds for stiff punishment and/or removal from the guild. IV. Recruitment Process: a. Any person who wishes to join Immortal can fill out an application on the guild forums found here. b. For General Membership, you must meet the membership criteria in the application form. c. Each trial member will be required to read and sign a statement indicating acceptance of our rules and will also be required to request a Ventrilo server password. The application will be reviewed by the officer core and recruitment officer. If accepted, the applicant will be invited to the guild at the rank of Initiate. d. Upon acceptance into the guild the trial member will be required to sit down for a brief interview with an officer of Immortal. This interview will give us insight as to your behavior and what we can expect out of you for the duration of your stay with us. Once you are approved by the interviewer you will start your trial membership period. e. Trial periods will last 60 days, but if the officers feel they need more time to decide, the trial can be extended to a maximum of 90 days. During the trial period an applicant can be removed for breaking any charter rules, personality conflicts, and any other expectations which the officers have informed them of. A trial member will become a full guild member upon successful completion of the trial period and will be promoted to the rank of Squire. f. If you are inactive in the guild for more than 30 days you may be removed. This is so that we can keep the guild as trim and fit as possible. You may reapply after coming back to the game and be granted your previous rank upon officer approval. V. Raiding: a. In order to be a member of the Aion raid team you will need to request access to the Aion: Tower of Eternity Raiding user group on the forums. Once accepted you will need to access the Aion DKP page and sign up all of your raiding characters. b. You are only permitted to raid with Immortal. There are no exceptions. c. NDA: All raiders are expected to abide by a strict Non-Disclosure Agreement. This means you are not permitted to give any raid information to anyone outside of Immortal. We learn strategies ourselves and therefore do not give away free information and tactics to those who want hand-outs. Others can learn things the hard way as we do. If you don't know if a topic is NDA or not, it is. Don't talk about it. **First rule of Fight Club - You do not talk about Fight Club** d. There will be a dedicated force of veteran raiders within the raid team. This group of veterans will be the primary raiding arm of Immortal Aion and will not exceed 28 members. It is with this team of raiders that we will push for world and server firsts, and all other progression will come with this force as the spearhead. 1. In order to be a member of the veteran raid force there must be an open position. You must maintain 70% raid attendance over the last 30 days. You must display outstanding raid etiquette and every day prove your skills and dedication to the Immortal cause. 2. Once a spot is earned on the veteran raid team, it is in no way a permanent one. Members will be removed from this team if they are unable to maintain the requirements, or there are disciplinary actions required. 3. Veteran raiders will be given priority over others when forming raids for progression. 4. Any flaunting, bragging, or talking down on other guild members that are not a part of this team will result in a swift, harsh punishment. All Immortal guild members are to be treated equal, never forget this. e. Raiding etiquette: 1. Show up on time. When the Raid Leader issues a Call to Arms in legion chat you are expected to be on location within 10 minutes time. 2. Be fully prepared. Have all stigmas, potions, food, and equipment prepared in advance for the evening. 3. Stay for the duration of the raid. We understand on occasions members will need to log off early. If this is the case you are to inform the Raid Leader prior to raid setup for the night. If you know in advance the Raid Leader needs to know in advance as well. 4. Keep Ventrilo clear when raiding. The Raid Leader requires the attention of the raiders during raids and off topic conversation can be saved for later. If the Raid Leader or other officer says "clear chat" over Ventrilo all conversation is to come to an end and you are to give your full attention to the Raid Leader. 5. Do not bombard the Raid Leader with /whispers during raids. The Raid Leader is a busy person. If you have something relevant to say send a /whisper to another officer attending the raid and they will bring it up to the Raid Leader at their convenience. f. DKP: Immortal uses DKP to distribute items acquired when raiding. DKP rules can be found here. VI. Alliances: a. All alliances must be approved by the GM after reviewing the proposal and interviewing with the leadership of the guild wishing to align with us. The allying guild must accept our other alliance members. This means that they will treat our circle of alliances as their own, following all of our rules of conduct when they interact together. b. Alliance leaders must meet with our leaders at least once a month. We need updates on their situation and membership status as well as notifications of any poor conduct from either side of the alliance. We also require this communication to ensure continued interest in keeping the alliance strong. Current Alliances: N/A VII. Guild Communication: a. The forums are the official form of communication. If you don’t read the forums you are not up to date on the status of the guild. Members helping members is what a guild is all about. For this purpose we have a forum dedicated to the multiple topics in Aion including Crafting, Raiding and PvP. b. If there is something you need to discuss in private with an officer please use the forum’s Private Message (PM) system or ask one of us in Ventrilo to pull you into a meeting room. c. Guild Meetings: We currently have two different kinds of meetings; officer, and guild-wide. Officers currently meet weekly or whenever necessary. Guild-wide meetings will be scheduled on a monthly basis or as needed. VIII. Crafting: a. Immortal Crafters do not charge for their services. We are a family here and helping a guild member benefits the guild as a whole. NOTE: Tips for our guild crafters are nice, but ethics must be observed. Crafters must not demand tips. b. It is up to the player wishing to have an item made to provide all materials needed for said item to the crafter. If the crafter fails to produce the item wanted due to a skill check it is not the responsibility of the crafter to reimburse the materials needed. c. When entering an agreement with a guild crafter for an item, both parties involved must agree to a time frame and materials required. Be reasonable with expectations of our crafters, they sometimes would like to be let out of their dungeon to adventure as well. d. Broker fees. If you purchase an item off of the broker you are agreeing to that price, even if the item you buy is from an Immortal crafter. You are in no way entitled to ask the crafter for a refund. Other members may buy items for each other via the broker system, but the purchaser is not entitled to a finders fee. IX. Harassment: a. Do not go out of your way to harass another member whom you know won’t respond well. This builds up animosity and ultimately will lead to unnecessary drama. b. Immortal believes in promoting a harmonious gaming/social environment, where every member is treated with respect and dignity. No one should feel threatened, intimidated or degraded on grounds of race, color, nationality, ethnic or national origins, sex, marital status, sexual orientation, disability, physical characteristics, health, age, religion or belief. c. Harassment in forums, in-game or out-of-game is unacceptable and will not be permitted or condoned. Examples might include: * Racially derogatory remarks or insults. * Slandering online graffiti or slogans. * Racist 'jokes', banter, ridicule or taunts. * Using a disparaging or offensive tone when communicating with people from certain racial groups. * Avoiding people because of their racial group. * Having unrealistic expectations of performance or imposing excessive workloads on people, based on their racial group. * Unnecessarily picking on individuals from particular racial groups. * Sexist or biased comments. d. All members should encourage a person who says they have been bullied or harassed to seek help. Be sensitive to their feelings, and refrain from taking part in, encouraging or condoning gossip about cases of alleged or actual harassment or bullying. e. All complaints of harassment or racial discrimination will be treated seriously and dealt with promptly through the complaints procedure (via the Forum, in-game tells to officers or PMs to officers). Disciplinary action, including removal from the guild, may be taken against any member found responsible for racial discrimination or harassment. X. In-Game Issue Resolution: a. If a member of Immortal - Aion has an in-game issue or dispute which cannot be settled via personal tells, the member should bring the issue to one of the in-game officers or should PM an officer via the message boards for assistance with resolving the problem. b. If the member's issue/problem is with an officer of Immortal - Aion, the member should feel free to speak with the GM of the Aion chapter or a member of the Immortal Council. c. If the member's issue/problem is with the GM of the Aion chapter, the member is encouraged to PM any member of the Immortal Council on our forums for assistance in resolving the issue. d. Please do not take your personal offenses to guild chat. While the officers of Immortal - Aion, and members of the Immortal Council are more than happy to assist you with issue resolution, the general membership most likely does not want to read about why you and another member don't get along in-game. We are all adults in this chapter, please act like it. Do not rant and rave about why you think something or someone sucks. e. Again, please be considerate to others in guild and things will go much more smoothly during your stay in Immortal. Most importantly, HAVE FUN! KICK ASS! HAVE FUN KICKING ASS! Make the game enjoyable, not just for yourselves, but for those kicking ass with you! XI. Violations: If any rules are violated to any degree, you are susceptible to stiff punishment from your officers. The penalties you may receive range from a warning to revoking of guild privileges to removal from the guild, including Ventrilo and forum access. If you have already been warned once and are caught a second time, you are not eligible for any rewards, contests or raffles being conducted by Immortal. If you are an Initiate and violate the rules in any way it is grounds for automatic removal from the guild. NOTE: The GM and Asst. GM reserve the right to remove anyone from the guild without warning. Last edited by Brophy; 09-16-2009 at 10:55 AM. |
