Well, not to be pessimistic, I HAD a 756mb EVGA 8800GTX,... PIECE OF CRAP!!!! 1st one lasted 7months almost exactly, then died,... the 1st replacement RMA had a defective fan, the 2nd RMA replacement also lasted 7 months. After that I told EVGA if they sent me another 8800GTX they'd receive it back in pieces. For me it as a $600 WASTE.
    They sent me a 260 back, but I never used it. I traded it off. My current system is as follows;

    -Asus Maximus Formula motherboard
    -2GB PC8500 Crucial Ballistix DDR
    -200GB SATA c-drive
    -400GB SATA d-drive
-Cooler Master Stacker 830 case (silver)
-4 side 120mm-25mm 89.3CFM fans (the case has room for 7 of these)
    -HP DVD SATA drive/burner GSA-H31L
    -Plexter DVD SATA drive/burner PX-755SA
-Intel quad core Q6600 cpu with Arctic Freezer Pro 7 CPU fan kit on it.
-XFX 9800 GTX 512MB video card (this rocks for a cheapie card.)
-Microsoft wireless Intellimouse (Logitech revolution MX as a backup)
    -Logitech G15 gaming keyboard
    -3.5"floppy
    -Soundblaster Fatal1ty gamers sound card
    -Logitech Quickcam 5000
    -19" LG widescreen backup monitor
-Samsung 32" LCD t.v. (main monitor)
-Altec Lansing quad speaker set with sub & center speaker ( I cannot remember the name of the model)
    -Saitek X52 flight joystick
    -HP all-in-one printer
    -Tritton USB gamers headset
    -OCZ 850 watt power supply

    New desk pics Jan 2008.JPG
    Hutch on Desk.JPG
I built the desk & hutch myself. Also the computer. I've been building computers for uhh about 12yrs.

(the pics are sorta old. from when I had the older printer)

I plan on coming back with a few upgrades- Wife got axed and we skimped a bit, I will eventually add a second 9800GTX+ to SLI and I am also looking at WD Velociraptor 300G 16M 10000 SATA II. I wish we didnt need the money- I had planned on 3x 4G memory sticks (12gig) but im not going to buy 12 on top of what I have.

The raidmax case is the best I have ever owned, Its durable, decently light-weight, Its easy access due to the foldout MB mount. It has fantastic ventillation ( both large front fan coupled with side AND vidoe card cooling. Only part I dont like is the front panel- I wish it was a little less garish, but i matches compnents so I can live with it.

Newegg.com - RAIDMAX AZTEC ATX-619WO Black/ Orange 1.0mm SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Foldout MB Computer Case - Computer Cases

I paired it all with wireless logitech mouse and MERC Stealth keyboard- It works great.
On set up it immediatly worked, I never have cooling problems at all- In fact even overclocked playing WoW current temp is holding at 38 degrees.
Give warriors some mount that shoots spears and shit to every direction and theyre happy
Give rogues some mount that can stealth and theyre happy
Give mages a fucking broomstick and theyre happy
Give priests some fucking awesome holy horse that pees lightwells and theyre happy
Give shamans some spirit mounts that are lame and theyre happy
Give hunters ablity to mount their pets and theyre happy
Stop making these fucking lame topics and im happy.

Re: POST YOUR GAMING MACHINE /include Specs

I see a lot of you use OCZ ram. While OCZ backs their RAM with a GOOD RMA program to replace their ram under warranty, I'd advise against purchasing OCZ. I personally have had several I've had to replace through thier RMA dept. A little too often. I also have a friend who owns/runs a PC repair shop who says the same thing.
I'd recommend Crucial, Kinston, or Corsair. I currently have the crucial Ballistix (which have those COOL led's on the side which blink in accordance with the actual ram activity) and I've not had any issues with the Crucial since purchase. ( a whuile ago) The Crucial actually replaced a pair of OCZ Reaper PC8500 (which the RMA replacements are currently in my drawer right next to me.)
Another item,.. mother boards. ASUS FTW!!! Love em now. They've come leaps n bounds over the last 7yrs or so. My Maximus Formula has some special way you can actually overclock the CPU & video card from within windows.
(MSI motherboards are very VERY troublesome)
This is just "MY" experience & opion,.. sorry if I've offended anyone. If you're curious,.. do the research on the product. See that gets returns a lot.

Oh one last thing. IF you don't know of this web page (Link Removed) Please check them out. They have VERY cheap and awesome Cooling fans & CPU case lighting etc....

Re: Post Your Gaming Machine - Include Specs

Oh damn. I was hoping someone would make a thread like this. Hell yeah!

Case: Black and red, with some blue LEDs.
    Processor: AMD Athlon x2 Some-moderately-impressive-number.
Motherboard: It's both motherly, and board-like.
Cables: Connect everything up real nice-like.
Posts: I used little metal spacers and felt rings to seperate the Mobo from the case.
    Memory: 4GBs of something.
Hard Disk: One fast one (solid) and one big one. (liquid?)
Floppy Drive: Plays DVDs when I'm not gaming.
    GPU: nVidia something GT.
PPU: PhysX something. makes a huge difference, especially in Diablo 2.
Network Adapter: Hasn't quite adapted to the pr0n, but we're working on it.
Internet: Time Warner cable. The best internet, period.
Ports/Slots: It's got some PATAs and SATAs and USBs and PS/2s and even some PCIs
PSU: I call on it to make it juicy for me
    Sound: Like a tiny wind-tunnel
Fans: Oh boy! It's got a bunch of those. I use them to cool my tea, so I know they're good.
    Liquid cooling: See: fans.
Because: I know No one reads these, the next one to post a real machine after me is a tool.
Monitor: Not very big, but looks nice. I could just route to my 46" I guess
OS: The 2nd newest version of Windows (never use the newest)
Keyboard: Lots of buttons and even a wheel!
Mouse: Not as many buttons, but still quite a few and a wheel!
Chair: Big and squishy enough to accomadate my bony ass.
Desk: Real big. Made of steel and glass. Plenty of extra room for intercourse in a variety of positions.

Plays every game I have on max settings at 40+ FPS. My RL-peen is also huge.

Oh, and here's a pic of one of my friends using my machine to it's maximum potential:
